...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 130 AM PST WEDNESDAY...
* WHAT...Flooding and debris flows caused by excessive rainfall are
expected.
* WHERE...A portion of western Elko County near Midas, mainly across
the western halves of the Snowstorm and Jakes burn scars.
* WHEN...Until 130 AM PST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding and debris flow activity.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 934 PM PST, Doppler radar indicated periods of moderate to
heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in Snowstorm burn scar and Jakes burn scar. Between
0.2 and 0.6 inches of rain have fallen.
- The Snowstorm and Jakes burn scars may experience minor
flooding or debris flows. Additional rainfall amounts up to
0.2 inches are expected over the area. Rain on snow may
enhance the chances of flooding and debris flows.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Move away from recently burned areas. The heavy rains may trigger
rockslides, mudslides and debris flows in steep terrain, especially
in and around these areas.

...FLOOD ADVISORY WILL EXPIRE AT 130 AM PST EARLY THIS MORNING...
The Flood Advisory will expire at 130 AM PST early this morning for
a portion of northeast Nevada, including the following area, Elko.
Although there are still showers across the region, they are light a
scattered in nature. The treat for organized heavy rain has ended.
Flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to
heed remaining road closures.
