.A storm with intense rainfall rates will move through parts of
Lincoln over the next hour. Expect very heavy, but brief, rain which
could lead to flooded roads within the city, especially in north
Lincoln.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1030 PM CDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Central Lancaster County in southeastern Nebraska...
* WHEN...Until 1030 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 732 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lincoln, Lincoln Airport, Holmes Lake Park, Pioneers Park and
Emerald.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
