...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 445 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Western Starr County in deep south Texas...
  Southeastern Zapata County in deep south Texas...

* WHEN...Until 445 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 243 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This  will cause arroyo and small stream flooding.
    Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Rio Grande City, Roma, Escobares, Lopeno, El Sauz, La Rosita, New
    Falcon, Falcon Heights, Falcon State Park, Salineno, Falcon Dam,
    Morales-Sanchez, Roma High School, Roma Creek, Roma Public
    Library, North Escobares, Roma City Hall, Barrera Elementary
    School, Roma City Police Department and Garceno.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
