...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM PST EARLY THIS MORNING...
* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Del Norte County in northwestern California...
* WHEN...Until 600 AM PST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. River or stream flows are elevated.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 304 AM PST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain. This will cause urban and small stream flooding.
Rapid river rises will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Crescent City, Jedediah Smith State Park, Klamath, Jack McNamera
Field, Gasquet, Bertsch-Oceanview, Smith River, Crescent City
North, Klamath Glen, Requa and Fort Dick.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
