...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1015 PM EDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of south central Indiana, including the
following counties, Dubois and Orange.
* WHEN...Until 1015 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 710 PM EDT, the public reported heavy rain in the advisory
area due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Jasper, Huntingburg, Ferdinand, Orleans, French Lick,
Orangeville, Holland, West Baden Springs, Birdseye and
Dubois.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

The Flood Advisory will expire at 1015 PM EDT this evening for a
portion of south central Indiana, including the following areas,
Dubois and Orange.
The threat for widespread flooding continues over the area.
