...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 845 PM CDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of southeast Kansas, including the following
counties, Bourbon and Crawford and Missouri, including the
following counties, Barton, Benton, Cedar, Hickory, St. Clair and
Vernon.
* WHEN...Until 845 PM CDT Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 231 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen.
- This includes the following low water crossings...
Little Clear Creek at Oz Road, Clear Creek at 430 Road,
Monegaw Creek at NW 1301 Road, Weaubleau Creek at 350 Road,
West Fork Pryor Creek at Blair Road and Ricky Creek at NW 603
Road.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Nevada, Fort Scott, El Dorado Springs, Osceola, Lowry City,
Arcadia, Walker, Schell City, Walnut, Redfield, Hepler,
Marmaton, Bronaugh, Collins, Moundville, Roscoe, Richards,
Milo, Deerfield, Vista, Metz, Harwood, Gerster, Stotesbury,
Horton, Taberville, Tiffin, Garland, Hammond, Johnson City,
Monegaw Springs, Pawnee Station, Farlington, Hiattville,
Petersburg, Iconium, Porterville, Harper and Truman Lake.

The Flood Advisory will expire at 845 PM CDT this evening for
portions of southeast Kansas, including the following areas, Bourbon
and Crawford and Missouri, including the following areas, Barton,
Benton, Cedar, Hickory, St. Clair and Vernon.
The heavy rain has ended. Widespread minor flooding is no longer
expected to pose a threat. Please continue to heed remaining road
closures.
