...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 845 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Southeastern Boone County in central Missouri...
  Callaway County in central Missouri...
  Cole County in central Missouri...
  Southern Moniteau County in central Missouri...

* WHEN...Until 845 PM CDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Some
  low-water crossings may become impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 240 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have
    fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Jefferson City, Fulton, California, Ashland, Holts Summit,
    Columbia Regional Airport, Wardsville, St. Martins, Taos,
    Russellville, New Bloomfield, Lake Mykee Town, Centertown, St.
    Thomas, Lake Mykee, Brazito, McGirk, Hickory Hill, High Point and
    Williamsburg.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The heavy rain has ended. Flooding is no longer expected to pose a
