...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1045 AM CDT THIS MORNING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following
counties, Coke and Sterling.
* WHEN...Until 1045 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 842 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.25 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.25 inches are
expected over the area. This additional rain will result in
minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Robert Lee, Sterling City, E.V. Spence Reservoir Near Paint
Creek Recreation Area and The Intersection Of Highway 158 And
Ranch Road 2059.
- This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
Graham Valley crossing, Fields crossing, Collier crossing,
Hurley crossing, Grahan Valley crossing Messbox Creek, Old
Angelo crossing Antelope Creek and Bade crossing Lacy Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain.
Arroyos, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a
matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.
