...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1230 AM CDT SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following 
  counties, Irion, Schleicher and Tom Green.

* WHEN...Until 1230 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 916 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.25 and 0.75 inches of
    rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches are
    expected over the area. This additional rain will result in
    minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Southern San Angelo, Christoval, Knickerbocker, Twin Buttes
    Reservoir, Lake Nasworthy and Goodfellow Air Force Base.
  - This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
    Mineral Wells crossing South Concho River and Door Key
    crossing Pecan Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.
