* WHERE...The Northwestern City of Chesapeake in southeastern
Virginia...

The Northwestern City of Virginia Beach in southeastern Virginia...
* WHEN...Until 200 PM EST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1055 AM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Downtown Portsmouth, Downtown Norfolk, Old Dominion University,
Norfolk State University, Churchland, Ocean View, Virginia
Wesleyan University, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Ghent,
Cradock, Norview, Norfolk NAS, Western Branch, Norfolk
International, Bowers Hill and South Norfolk.

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

The Flood Advisory is replaced by a Flash Flood Warning for a portion
of southeast Virginia, including the following independent cities,
City of Chesapeake, City of Norfolk, City of Portsmouth and City of
Virginia Beach.
