...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT FOR PORTIONS OF GREATER ORLANDO UNTIL
830 PM EST THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of east central Florida, including the following
counties, Lake and Orange.
* WHEN...Until 830 PM EST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 627 PM EST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause
urban and small stream flooding. Up to 2.5 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Orlando, Ocoee, Winter Garden, Winter Park, Maitland,
Windermere, Bay Lake, Pine Hills, Oak Ridge, Lockhart,
College Park, Goldenrod, Clermont, Oakland, Horizon West, Bay
Hill, Orlovista, Doctor Phillips, Universal Studios and Lake
Louisa.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
