The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Eastern Kleberg County in south central Texas...
  Nueces County in south central Texas...
  South Central San Patricio County in south central Texas...

* Until 845 AM CDT.

* At 542 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 3 inches of rain have
  fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 3 inches in 2 hours.
  Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
           drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Corpus Christi, Robstown, Driscoll, Corpus Christi International
  Airport, Bishop, South Texas Botanical Gardens, Kings Crossing
  Subdivision, Cabaniss Field, Corpus Christi Country Club, Spohn
  Hospital South, La Palmera Mall, Bay Area Medical Center,
  Clarkwood, Del Mar College Windward Campus, Waldron Field, Driscoll
  Childrens Hospital, Del Mar College Heritage Campus, Cole Park,
  Flour Bluff and Texas A&M University Corpus Christi.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
