The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  South Central Runnels County in west central Texas...

* Until 445 PM CDT.

* At 132 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of 
  rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are 
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected 
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Rowena.

This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
CR 116 crossing Pony Creek, County Road 400 crossing Indian Creek, 
County Road 399 crossing Indian Creek, County Road 401 crossing 
Rocky Creek, crossings along County Road 398, crossings along County 
Road 255, County Road 252 crossing Little Concho Creek, County Road 
253 crossing Little Concho Creek, County Road 357 crossing Little 
Concho Creek and crossings along County Road 363.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become 
unstable and unsafe.

AFTERNOON FOR SOUTH CENTRAL RUNNELS COUNTY...

At 249 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy 
rain across the warned area. Between 1.75 and 4 inches of rain have 
fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.75 to 1.5 inches are 
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected 
to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.
