The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southeastern St. Landry Parish in central Louisiana...
  Iberia Parish in south central Louisiana...
  St. Martin Parish in south central Louisiana...
  Northwestern St. Mary Parish in south central Louisiana...

* Until 1100 PM CDT.

* At 759 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain 
  have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1 
  hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  New Iberia, Catahoula, Breaux Bridge, Franklin, St. Martinville, 
  Jeanerette, Avery Island, Broussard, Baldwin, Delcambre, 
  Henderson, Loreauville, Lake Fausse Pointe, Lydia, Sorrel, Butte 
  La Rose, Acadiana Regional Airport, Cade, Coteau and Charenton.

  Martin, Bayou, Bayou Des Glaises, Cypress Island Coulee, Johnson, 
  Bayou, Chene, Bayou, Cowpen Little Tensas, Fusilier of the Swamps, 
  Bayou, Indian Bayou, Teche, Bayou, Atchafalaya River, Bayou La 
  Rose, Coulee Portage, Junction, Bayou, Courtableau, Bayou, Long 
  Ride Barge Bayou, Coulee Coteau Holmes, Upper Grand River, Loin, 
  Bayou, Anselm Coulee, Coulee Datider, Catahoula Coulee, Garotier, 
  Bayou, West Cote Blanche Bay, Little Bayou Des Ourses and Coulee 
  Nicole Guidry.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

The heavy rain has ended. Flooding is no longer expected to pose a 
threat. Please continue to heed remaining road closures.

A Flood Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CDT Monday for portions 
of Louisiana and southeast Texas.
