The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northeastern Kimble County in west central Texas...
  Southeastern Menard County in west central Texas...

* Until 600 PM CDT.

* At 300 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain 
  have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin 
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Menard, Saline, London, Hext, The Intersection Of Us-83 And Ranch 
  Road 1773, Us-83 Near The Kimble-Menard County Line, The 
  Intersection Of Us-83 And Highway 29 and Us-377 Near The 
  Kimble-Menard County Line.

This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
crossings along FM 1221, Decker St. crossing San Saba River, County 
Road 351 crossing Big Saline Creek, County Road 370 crossing Big 
Saline Creek, Ranch Road 2291 crossing Las Moras Creek, Mahan 
crossing Taylor Branch, Saline crossing Little Saline Creek, Long 
Mt. crossing Leon Creek, Blau crossing and County Road 370 crossing 
Big Saline Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
