The National Weather Service in Midland/Odessa has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
East Central Brewster County in southwestern Texas...
South Central Pecos County in southwestern Texas...
West Central Terrell County in southwestern Texas...
* Until 915 PM CDT.
* At 611 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of
rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Sanderson.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

EVENING FOR EAST CENTRAL BREWSTER, SOUTH CENTRAL PECOS AND WEST
CENTRAL TERRELL COUNTIES...
At 644 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have
fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in
the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain.
Arroyos, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a
matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.

EVENING FOR EAST CENTRAL BREWSTER, SOUTH CENTRAL PECOS AND WEST
CENTRAL TERRELL COUNTIES...
At 809 PM CDT, emergency management reported thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in
the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. At 8PM,
emergency management reported that a section of Highway 90, 10 miles
west of Sanderson, was flooded. Additionally hail was covering the
road making travel very difficult in not impossible.
