The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northern Franklin Parish in northeastern Louisiana...
  Madison Parish in northeastern Louisiana...
  Southwestern Morehouse Parish in northeastern Louisiana...
  Richland Parish in northeastern Louisiana...

* Until 730 AM CDT Saturday.

* At 127 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain 
  have fallen already. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches 
  per hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are 
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected 
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Bastrop, Tallulah, Winnsboro, Rayville, Delhi, Mangham, Mer Rouge, 
  Collinston, Baskin, Oak Ridge, Mound, Holly Ridge, Bakers, Warden, 
  Archibald, Waverly, Crowville, Start, Tendal and Alto.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

MORNING FOR NORTHERN FRANKLIN, MADISON, SOUTHWESTERN MOREHOUSE AND 
RICHLAND PARISHES...

At 504 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy 
rain are moving east of the warned area. Between 4 and 8 inches of 
rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is up to 1 inch per 
hour. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the 
warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
