Wednesday afternoon.

* AFFECTED AREA...Zapata, Jim Hogg, Brooks, Inland Kenedy, Starr,
  Hidalgo, Inland Willacy, and Inland Cameron counties.

* TIMING...Through Wednesday afternoon.

* WINDS...Southerly 10 to 25 mph with gusts around 35 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 19 percent.

* TEMPERATURES...85-94.

* IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread 
  quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

The National Weather Service in Brownsville has cancelled the
Fire Weather Watch.

The National Weather Service in Brownsville has cancelled the
Fire Weather Watch. However, a Red Flag Warning is in effect for
Inland Cameron, Hidalgo, Inland Willacy, Inland Kenedy, and 
Brooks counties from 12 pm to 6 pm Wednesday. Winds will gust up 
to 30-35 MPH, with afternoon relative humidity ranging from 20 to 
near 40 percent. A Fire Danger Statement is in effect for Zapata, 
Starr, and Jim Hogg counties, where southerly 20-foot winds are 
likely to range from 10 to 15 MPH, gusting up to 20 MPH, becoming 
with afternoon relative humidity values ranging from 15-20 
percent.
