The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  South central Laurens County in Upstate South Carolina...
  Southeastern Greenwood County in Upstate South Carolina...

* Until 730 PM EDT.

* At 650 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles southeast
  of Greenwood, or near Ninety Six Historic Site, moving northeast at
  30 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind 
           damage to trees and power lines.

* Locations impacted include...
  Ninety Six, Lake Greenwood State Park, Lake Greenwood, Greenwood
  State Park, Ninety Six Historic Site, Kirksey, Dyson, Callison, and
  Epworth.

...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR SOUTH CENTRAL LAURENS AND
SOUTHEASTERN GREENWOOD COUNTIES IS CANCELLED...

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.  However, heavy rain is
still possible with this thunderstorm.
