The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  North central Clarke County in southwestern Alabama...

* Until 1130 AM CDT.

* At 1057 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a
  tornado was located 6 miles south of Putnam, or 16 miles southeast
  of Butler, moving northeast at 15 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
  north central Clarke County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.

...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1130 AM CDT FOR NORTH
CENTRAL CLARKE COUNTY...

At 1121 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located 5 miles southeast of Putnam, or 13 miles west of
Thomasville, moving northeast at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is
