...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...A portion of the Southwest San Juan Mountains, recent burn
  scars and steep mountain corridors. This includes the Gold
  Mountain, Ferris, and Elk burn scars, as well as, Highways 550 and
  145.

* WHEN...Through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations, as
  well as debris flows through recent burn scars. The debris flows
  can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Heavy rainfall from thunderstorms and/or training storms is
    possible this afternoon and into late evening hours. If you live,
    commute or recreate near or below recent burn scars and other
    flood-prone terrain, keep an eye on the current conditions
    overhead and upstream of your location.

The Flood Watch will expire for a portion of southwest Colorado,
including the following areas, Northwest San Juan Mountains and
Southwest San Juan Mountains.

The flash flooding threat has ended. Therefore, the Flood Watch will
expire at midnight MDT tonight.
