EVENING...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of western New Mexico.

* WHEN...From 1 PM MDT this afternoon through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Showers and thunderstorms will develop over the area today then
    move slowly northward across western NM through tonight. Rainfall
    rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour will occur with the heavier
    storms. Repeated rounds of heavy rainfall are possible in some
    areas.

* WHERE...Portions of western New Mexico.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

  - Showers and thunderstorms will develop over the area today then

The Flood Watch will expire for portions of northwest and west
central New Mexico, including the following areas, in northwest New
Mexico, Chuska Mountains. In west central New Mexico, San Francisco
River Valley, Southwest Mountains, West Central Mountains and West
Central Plateau.

The flash flooding threat has ended. Therefore, the Flood Watch will
expire at 10 PM MDT this evening.
