possible.
* WHERE...A portion of western Maryland, including the following
areas, Eastern Garrett and Western Garrett.
* WHEN...Through this evening.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Low-water
crossings may be flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected. A
widespread 1 to 2 inches of rain is expected, with localized
totals of 3 to 5 inches possible where heavier thunderstorms
move through. Given saturated soils after recent rainfall,
some instances of flash flooding may occur. Considerable
flash flooding is possible if the heaviest rainfall amounts
occur over areas that saw the heaviest rain recently.
