...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 421 PM PDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of Southwest California, including the following 
  counties, Riverside and San Diego.

* WHEN...Until 421 PM PDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 221 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain
    has fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 1.5 inches are
    expected over the area. This additional rain will result in
    minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Anza, Warner Springs, Hwy 79 Between Warner Springs And Oak
    Grove, Hwy 79 Between Santa Ysabel And Warner Springs,
    Borrego Palm Canyon, Ranchita, Hwy S2 Between Hwy 79 And Hwy
    78, Los Coyotes Indian Reservation and Cahuilla Indian
    Reservation.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are 
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded 
roads. Find an alternate route.
