...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM PDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...South Central Riverside County in southern California...
  North Central San Diego County in southwestern California...

* WHEN...Until 400 PM PDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Rockslides and Mudslides are possible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 223 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Southeastern Anza, Hwy 79 Between Warner Springs And Oak Grove,
    Warner Springs, Hwy 74 Between Anza And Palm Desert and Cahuilla
    Indian Reservation.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

...FLOOD ADVISORY HAS EXPIRED...

The Flood Advisory has expired for a portion of Southwest California,
including the following areas, a small portion of Riverside and San
Diego.

The heavy rain has moved out of the area. However, additional
isolated showers are possible in the next few hours. Please continue
to heed remaining road closures and keep in mind that mudslides and
rockslides can occur many hours after the rain has ended.
