...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 PM MDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...East Central Natrona County in central Wyoming...
* WHEN...Until 930 PM MDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 733 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms is occurring or will be occurring shortly. Minor
flooding is expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
- 0.5 to 1.5 inches of rain fell across much of Casper this
morning. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are
expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding due to saturated grounds and heavy rain.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Casper, Mills, Evansville, Red Butte, Paradise Valley, Fort
Caspar Campground, Central Wyoming Fairgrounds and Casper Events
Center.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
