* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Evans County in southeastern Georgia...
Liberty County in southeastern Georgia...
Long County in southeastern Georgia...
Tattnall County in southeastern Georgia...
* WHEN...Until 1030 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 904 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Glennville, Claxton, Hagan, Daisy, Jennie, Bay Branch, Daniels
and Claxton Evans County Airport.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

The Flood Advisory will expire at 1030 PM EDT this evening for a
portion of southeast Georgia, including the following areas, Evans,
Liberty, Long and Tattnall.
The heavy rain has ended. Flooding is no longer expected to pose a
threat. Please continue to heed remaining road closures.
