* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...East Central Pima County in southeastern Arizona...
* WHEN...Until 1000 PM MST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 658 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.2 and 0.8 inches of rain
have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Sabino Creek, Agua Caliente Wash, Tanque Verde Wash, Coyote Wash,
Rillito River, Rincon Creek, Chimney Rock Creek, Ventana Canyon
Wash and Pantano Wash.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Tucson, Tanque Verde, Saguaro National Park East and Catalina
Foothills.
- This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations...
Harrison Rd at Pantano Wash, Agua Caliente Wash from Soldier Trl
to Fort Lowell, Wentworth Rd at Tanque Verde Wash, Tanque Verde
Loop Rd at Tanque Verde Wash, Old Spanish Trl at Rincon Creek,
Escalante Rd at Atterbury Wash, Alamo Wash between Speedway and
Grant, Camino Loma Alta at Rincon Creek, Freeman Rd between
Broadway and Old Spanish Trail, Limberlost Rd from Soilder Trail
to Homestead Ave and Old Spanish Trail at Jeremy Wash.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

The Flood Advisory will expire at 10 PM MST this evening for a
portion of South Central Arizona, including the following area, Pima.
The heavy rain has ended. Flooding is no longer expected to pose a
threat. Washes and creeks may continue to drain through the late
night. Please continue to heed remaining road closures.
