* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...North Central Cochise County in southeastern Arizona...
* WHEN...Until 1100 PM MST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 802 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.2 and 1.2 inches of rain
have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Ash Creek and Dial Wash. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.1 to
0.8 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will
result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Mainly rural areas of North Central Cochise County.
- This includes Interstate 10 between mile markers 346 and 349.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain.
Washes, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a
matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.

The Flood Advisory will expire at 11 PM MST this evening for a
portion of Southeast Arizona, including the following area, Cochise.
The heavy rain has ended. Flood waters have receded. Flooding is no
longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to heed remaining
road closures.
