...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1215 AM MST WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...West Central Cochise County in southeastern Arizona...
  Northeastern Santa Cruz County in southeastern Arizona...

* WHEN...Until 1215 AM MST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1011 PM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
    heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or
    expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Area rain gauges
    have measured 0.5-1.0 inches of rain.
  - This includes the following streams and drainages...
    Pacheco Wash, Cadillac Wash, Apache Canyon, Ash Creek, Turkey
    Creek, Dragoon Wash, San Pedro River, Cienega Creek, Montosa
    Canyon, Tres Alamos Wash, Slavin Wash, Slaughter House Wash,
    Babocomari River, Middle Canyon Wash and Mescal Arroyo.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Benson, Whetstone, Huachuca City, St. David, Elgin, Kartchner
    Caverns State Park and Mescal.
  - This includes the following highways...
    Route 90 between mile markers 290 and 314. Route 80 between mile
    markers 293 and 301. Interstate 10 between mile markers 297 and
    312. Route 82 between mile markers 39 and 57. Route 83 near mile
    marker 22.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
