...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 PM MDT THIS AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Northwestern Mesa County in west central Colorado...
* WHEN...Until 530 PM MDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is
imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 231 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding.
Between 0.4 and 0.7 inches of rain have fallen or are expected to
fall shortly.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Fruita, Loma and Mack.

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The Flood Advisory will expire at 530 PM MDT this afternoon for a
portion of west central Colorado, including the following area, Mesa.
Excess runoff from heavy rain has ended over the warned area. If
flooding has been observed...Please report it to your local law
enforcement agency. Urban area and small stream flooding is no longer
expected to pose a threat. Please continue to heed remaining road
closures.
