* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Southwestern Kershaw County in central South Carolina...
Northeastern Richland County in central South Carolina...
* WHEN...Until 515 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 310 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1.5 inches
of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the
area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Columbia, Dentsville, Villages at Sandhill, Lake Carolina,
Sesquicentennial State Park, Woodfield and Killian.
- This includes the following highways...
Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 72 and 89.
Interstate 77 between mile markers 16 and 21.
