...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 545 PM MDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
  expected.

* WHERE...Southeastern Clear Creek County in central Colorado...
  West Central Jefferson County in central Colorado...

* WHEN...Until 545 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Rises in small streams and normally dry creeks.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

    - At 242 PM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This may cause small
    stream flooding. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.

    - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

    - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Evergreen, Brookvale, Kittredge, Indian Hills, Wah Keeney Park
    and Genesee.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Rock slides and debris flows are likely from this rainfall. Minor
flooding of creeks and streams, roads and roadside culverts is also
expected.

    advisory area. This is causing small stream flooding. Between 1
    and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.

    - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

    - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Evergreen, Brookvale, Kittredge, Indian Hills, Wah Keeney Park
    and Genesee.

The Flood Advisory will expire at 545 PM MDT this afternoon for
portions of central and northeast Colorado, including the following
areas, in central Colorado, Clear Creek. In northeast Colorado,
Jefferson.

The heavy rain has ended. Small stream flooding is no longer expected
to pose a threat. Please continue to heed any remaining closures.
