...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 745 PM EDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Northeastern Burke County in east central Georgia...
Southeastern Richmond County in east central Georgia...
Southwestern Aiken County in central South Carolina...
Southwestern Barnwell County in central South Carolina...
* WHEN...Until 745 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 538 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding.
Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Plant Vogtle, Savannah River Site, Jackson, Shell Bluff Landing,
Savannah River Site K Complex, Savannah River Site H Canyon,
Audubons Silver Bluff Sanctuary and Bennock Mill.
