...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 645 PM MDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Central Arapahoe County in northeastern Colorado...
  South Central Denver County in northeastern Colorado...

* WHEN...Until 645 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is
  imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

    - At 349 PM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This may cause urban
    and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has
    fallen.

    - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.

    - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Denver, western Aurora, Greenwood Village, Cherry Hills Village
    and Cherry Creek Reservoir.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause minor flooding of
small creeks and streams, highways, streets, underpasses, drainage
areas and other low lying spots.

...FLOOD ADVISORY WILL EXPIRE AT 645 PM MDT THIS EVENING...

The Flood Advisory will expire at 645 PM MDT this evening for a
portion of northeast Colorado, including the following areas,
Arapahoe and Denver. The southern portions of this Advisory still
remain in a Flash Flood Warning through 715 PM MDT this evening,
including areas around Cherry Creek Reservoir.

The heavy rain has ended. Urban area and small stream flooding is no
longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to heed any
remaining closures.
