...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM MDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
expected.
* WHERE...Central Elbert County in east central Colorado...
* WHEN...Until 800 PM MDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Rises in small streams and normally dry creeks.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 455 PM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This may cause small
stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Antelope Creek, Water Gulch, Middle Bijou Creek, Reed Springs
Creek, Comanche Creek, Beaver Creek, Agate Creek, West Bijou
Creek, Wilson Creek, Big Sandy Creek, Key Creek, East Bijou Creek
and Spring Branch. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches
are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in
minor flooding.

Simla and Agate.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause minor flooding of
small creeks and streams, country roads, farmland along creeks, and
other low lying areas.

The heavy rain has ended. Small stream flooding is no longer expected
to pose a threat. Please continue to heed any remaining closures.
A Flood Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM MDT for portions of
east central and northeast Colorado...
