...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1130 PM MDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
expected.
* WHERE...Central Lincoln County in east central Colorado...
* WHEN...Until 1130 PM MDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 835 PM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This may cause small
stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Middle Rush Creek, Sevenmile Creek, Big Sandy Creek, North Rush
Creek, Long Creek and Apache Creek. Additional rainfall amounts
up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain
will result in minor flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause minor flooding of
small creeks and streams, country roads, farmland along creeks, and
other low lying areas.

The Flood Advisory will expire at 1130 PM MDT this evening for a
portion of east central Colorado, including the following area,
Lincoln.
Flood waters have receded. Small stream flooding is no longer
expected to pose a threat. However, there is still light rainfall
occurring nearby. Please continue to heed any remaining closures.
