* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Northern Grundy County in northeastern Illinois...
Kane County in northeastern Illinois...
Kendall County in northeastern Illinois...
* WHEN...Until 200 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
Roads and streets may be flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 959 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
a line of intense thunderstorms with rainfall rates of 1 to 2
inches per hour moving into the area. Localized flooding of
roadways and poor drainage areas will occur slightly after the
onset of rainfall.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Aurora, Elgin, Carpentersville, St. Charles, Oswego, Algonquin,
Batavia, Huntley, Geneva, Yorkville, Morris, Channahon, Campton
Hills, Minooka and Plano.

A Flood Advisory means minor flooding along waterways and other poor

- At 1154 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
up to 1.5 inches of rain occurred due to earlier thunderstorms.
Heavy rainfall has moved out of the area, but some standing water
may be slow to recede over the next few hours.
- Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Aurora, Oswego, Batavia, Geneva, Yorkville, Plano, Montgomery,
North Aurora, Sugar Grove, Boulder Hill, Elburn, Big Rock,
Kaneville, Bristol and Little Rock.
