...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Alcorn County in northeastern Mississippi...
  Northern Tishomingo County in northeastern Mississippi...
  Southern Hardin County in Tennessee...
  McNairy County in Tennessee...

* WHEN...Until 530 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 335 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This  will cause urban and small stream flooding.
    Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the
    area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Corinth, Savannah, Selmer, Iuka, Pickwick Landing State Park, J P
    Coleman State Park, Big Hill Pond State Park, Adamsville,
    Burnsville, Glen, Shiloh, Pineflat, Pickwick Dam, Leedy, Hinkle,
    Theo, Walnut Grove, Olive Hill, Farmington and Crump.

...FLOOD ADVISORY WILL EXPIRE AT 530 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...

The Flood Advisory will expire at 530 PM CDT this afternoon for
portions of North Mississippi, including the following areas, Alcorn
and Tishomingo and West Tennessee, including the following areas,
Hardin and McNairy.

The heavy rain has ended. Urban area and small stream flooding is no
longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to heed remaining
road closures.
