* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
  expected.

* WHERE...Northwestern Elbert County in east central Colorado...
  Arapahoe County in northeastern Colorado...

* WHEN...Until 545 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Rises in small streams and normally dry creeks.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

    - At 246 PM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This may cause small
    stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen.

    - This includes the following streams and drainages...
    Gold Creek, Running Creek, Little Comanche Creek, Dry Creek,
    Comanche Creek, Little Dry Creek, Wolf Creek, Kiowa Creek and
    West Bijou Creek. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches
    are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in
    minor flooding.

    - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Bennett and Elizabeth.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause minor flooding of
small creeks and streams, country roads, farmland along creeks, and
other low lying areas.

  additional storms are now moving into the area that will increase
  flooding potential once again.

* WHERE...Northwestern Elbert County in east central Colorado...
  Arapahoe County in northeastern Colorado...

* WHEN...Until 545 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Rises in small streams and normally dry creeks.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

    - At 516 PM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This may cause small
    stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.

The Flood Advisory will expire at 645 PM MDT this evening for
portions of east central and northeast Colorado, including the
following areas, in east central Colorado, Elbert. In northeast
Colorado, Arapahoe.

The heavy rain has ended. Small stream flooding is no longer expected
to pose a threat. Please continue to heed any remaining closures.

A Flood Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM MDT for portions of
central, east central, and northeast Colorado...
