...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM MDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
expected.
* WHERE...North Central Elbert County in east central Colorado...
Eastern Adams County in northeastern Colorado...
Arapahoe County in northeastern Colorado...
* WHEN...Until 700 PM MDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Rises in small streams and normally dry creeks.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 401 PM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This may cause small
stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Muddy Creek, Key Creek, Badger Creek, Comanche Creek, Rattlesnake
Creek, Poision Springs Creek, Bijou Creek, East Fork Little Muddy
Creek, First Creek, West Fork San Arroyo Creek, Wilson Creek,
Wolf Creek, East Bijou Creek, Hay Gulch, West Bijou Creek and
Middle Bijou Creek. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are
expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.

Deer Trail, Leader and Shamrock.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause minor flooding of
small creeks and streams, country roads, farmland along creeks, and
other low lying areas.

...FLOOD ADVISORY WILL EXPIRE AT 7 PM MDT THIS EVENING...
The Flood Advisory will expire at 7 PM MDT this evening for portions
of east central and northeast Colorado, including the following
areas, in east central Colorado, Elbert. In northeast Colorado, Adams
and Arapahoe Counties. A Flash Flood Warning remains in place for
portions of Elbert County that were in the southern extent of the
Advisory.
The heavy rain has ended. Small stream flooding is no longer expected
to pose a threat. Please continue to heed any remaining closures.
A Flood Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM MDT for portions of
central, east central, and northeast Colorado...
