* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Benton County in northwestern Indiana...
* WHEN...Until 430 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Roads and
streets may be flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 133 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1.5 inches
of rain have fallen, most of this in the past 45 minutes.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Fowler, Otterbein, Oxford, Boswell, Ambia, Swanington, Templeton
and Dunnington.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Flood Advisory means minor flooding along waterways and other poor
drainage areas is imminent or may already be occurring. Persons in
the advisory area should use caution and avoid flood waters.
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Roads and
streets may be flooded. High water likely may recede slowly from
flooded areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 417 AM EDT, Minor flooding is likely ongoing due to earlier
heavy rainfall. Radar and automated gauges indicate up to 3
inches of rain fell with earlier thunderstorms.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the
area. This additional rain will result in continued minor
flooding in the area. The Flash Flood Warning in effect for the
area will be allowed to expire at 445 AM.
