* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...East Central Jefferson County in central Colorado...
  Southwestern Arapahoe County in northeastern Colorado...
  Extreme Southwestern Denver County in northeastern Colorado...
  Northwestern Douglas County in northeastern Colorado...

* WHEN...Until 330 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

    - At 125 PM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This may cause urban
    and small stream flooding. Up to 0.5 inches of rain have fallen.

    - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

    - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Southern Lakewood, southwestern Centennial, Highlands Ranch,
    Littleton, southern Englewood, Greenwood Village, Sheridan,
    Morrison, Chatfield Reservoir, Red Rocks Park, Cherry Hills
    Village, Columbine and Ken Caryl.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause minor flooding of
small creeks and streams, highways, streets, underpasses, drainage
areas and other low lying spots.

    - At 235 PM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain had ended.  Earlier rainfall may cause urban
    and small stream flooding. Between 0.8 and 1.4 inches of rain
    have fallen.

    - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.2 inches are expected over
    the area. Minor flooding is expected.

    - Some locations that will experience flooding include...

...FLOOD ADVISORY WILL EXPIRE AT 330 PM MDT THIS AFTERNOON...

The Flood Advisory will expire at 330 PM MDT this afternoon for a
portion of northeast Colorado, including the following areas, extreme
western Arapahoe County, extreme southwestern Denver County,
northwest Douglas County, and east central Jefferson County.

Flood waters have receded. The heavy rain has ended. Urban area and
small stream flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please
continue to heed any remaining closures.

A Flood Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM MDT Saturday for
portions of central, east central, north central, and northeast
Colorado...
