...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 615 AM EDT THIS MORNING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Southeastern Fayette County in east central Indiana...
Union County in east central Indiana...
Wayne County in east central Indiana...
* WHEN...Until 615 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Some
low-water crossings may become impassable.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 409 AM EDT, radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy
rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of
rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches
are possible.
- Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Richmond, Centerville, Liberty, Hagerstown, Fountain City, West
College Corner, Franklin, Salem, Abington, Brownsville, Greens
Fork, Spring Grove, Bethel, Economy, Boston, Whitewater,
Philomath, Interstate 70 at Exit 145, Clifton and Witts Station.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
