* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Southern Licking County in central Ohio...
* WHEN...Until 300 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1159 PM EDT, radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy
rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Newark, Heath, Granville, Buckeye Lake, Hebron, Harbor Hills,
Marne, Granville South, Alexandria, Gratiot, Interstate 70 at
State Route 13, Interstate 70 at State Route 37, Brownsville,
Toboso and State Route 310 at State Route 161.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
To report flooding, go to our website at weather.gov/iln and submit
your report via social media, when you can do so safely.
