The National Weather Service in San Diego has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  A Small Portion of Northeastern San Diego County in southwestern
  California...

* Until 400 PM PDT.

* At 254 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. The expected rainfall rate is 1
  to 2 inches in 1 hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to
  begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
           flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Warner Springs, Hwy 79 Between Santa Ysabel And Warner Springs, Hwy
  S2 Between Hwy 79 And Hwy 78, Ranchita, Hwy 79 Between Warner
  Springs And Oak Grove, Los Coyotes Indian Reservation and Santa
  Ysabel Indian Reservation.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

The heavy rain has moved out of the area. However, additional
