* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Grant County in central Indiana...
  Blackford County in east central Indiana...
  Southwestern Jay County in east central Indiana...
  Cass IN County in north central Indiana...
  Southern Miami County in north central Indiana...
  Southwestern Wabash County in north central Indiana...
  Southeastern Pulaski County in northwestern Indiana...
  Eastern White County in northwestern Indiana...

* Until 600 PM EDT.

* At 256 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 
  thunderstorms produced heavy rain across portions of the warning 
  area. Although the heaviest rain rates are ending, lighter rain 
  over the next couple of hours, combined with runoff will cause 
  high water and flash flooding in some areas.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Marion, Logansport, Peru, Hartford City, Gas City, Upland, 
  Fairmount, Dunkirk, Grissom Afb, Albany, Jonesboro, Redkey, 
  Sweetser, Walton, Swayzee, Bunker Hill, Royal Center, Matthews, 
  Mexico and Lincoln.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

  thunderstorms producing heavy rain in From Royal Center to near 
  Grissom Air Reserve Base. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have 
  fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

GRANT, BLACKFORD, SOUTHWESTERN JAY, CASS IN, SOUTHERN MIAMI, 
SOUTHWESTERN WABASH, SOUTHEASTERN PULASKI AND EASTERN WHITE 
COUNTIES...

The heavy rain has ended. Please continue to heed remaining road 
closures. Water will slowly start to recede this evening and 
overnight.

A Flood Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for portions of 
northern Indiana and northwest Ohio.
