The National Weather Service in Spokane has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  West Central Chelan County in north central Washington...

* Until 800 PM PDT.

* At 455 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.9 and 1.2 inches of 
  rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin 
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Chatter Creek Campground, Rock Island Campground and Ida Creek 
  Campground.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where 
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become 
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or 
creeks.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM PDT THIS EVENING 
FOR WEST CENTRAL CHELAN COUNTY...

At 608 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy 
rain across the warned area. Radar has estimated between 1 and 1.8 
inches of rain have fallen. Additional storms with heavy rain are 
moving through the warned area.  Flash flooding is ongoing or 
expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

         roads, and campgrounds as well as other poor drainage
         and low-lying areas.
