The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Dorchester County in southeastern South Carolina...

* Until 1030 PM EDT.

* At 730 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or
  expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
           drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  North Charleston, Summerville, Delemar Crossroads, Westoe, Canaan,
  Clubhouse Crossroads, Slands Bridge, Cooke Crossroads, Slandsville
  and Dorchester Estates.

Very heavy rain has fallen across the Summers Corner area over the
last 60 to 90 minutes. Home weather stations in the area show that
2.5 to 3.5 inches of rain have already fallen and heavy rain
continues. An additional 1 to 2 inches of rain could impact southern
Dorchester County over the next hour.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
