The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northern Rush County in central Indiana...
  Henry County in east central Indiana...

* Until 530 AM EDT.

* At 246 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.25 and 2.5 inches of 
  rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.5 to 1 inch in 1 
  hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.25 inches are 
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected 
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  New Castle, Knightstown, Carthage, Spiceland, Shirley, Kennard, 
  Mooreland, Lewisville, Straughn, Dunreith, Cadiz, Greensboro and 
  Mays.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 AM EDT EARLY THIS 
MORNING FOR NORTHERN RUSH AND HENRY COUNTIES...

At 352 AM EDT, local law enforcement reported flash flooding ongoing 
in Henry county, especially within the town of New Castle. Between 
1.75 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 
0.5 to 1 inch in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.25 
inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already 
occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.
